Join Corrina and Adriana as they guide you through a restorative yoga practice which incorporates myofascial release using a yoga or tennis ball. We will target overworked and chronically tight areas using the ball which will allow you to rest with a new sense of space and ease in the supported poses. The blend of restorative poses, gentle yoga, and focused release points will increase mobility and strength, relieve muscular tension and result in a true sense of freedom in the entire body.

Feel free to bring your own yoga ball if you prefer using that to the provided tennis ball. Come treat yourself to this deliciously restful and opening practice, and leave feeling spacious and calm!

A body supported by props can let go of tightly held muscles and settle into a space of rest and release. When this happens the nervous system calms and quiets at a deep restoring level. Along with our bolster, blankets, and blocks; the chair will be used to create length and space in the body, increase our overall comfort level allowing us to linger longer in the poses, and make certain positions accessible to all.

Backbending, forward bending and how the two unite

The equanimity that lies between male and female, yin and yang, dark and light, the heat of the sun and the coolness the moon, lies within each of us. This workshop will explore the delicate balance between the effort and surrender in both back-bending and forward-bending. We will move through a sequence to lengthen both the front and back body, open the hips, strengthen and connect to the legs and the core in order to free the spine and create spaciousness and stability within the poses. You will learn how to maintain the magic of the backbend within the grace of the forward bend, the surrender of the forward bend within the joy of the backbend, leaving you feeling energetically balanced; open and receptive while also quiet and calm. All levels workshop taught in a vinyasa style.

Smart Sequencing for Your Body

Developing a Home Practice

A personal practice is the foundation to living your yoga. When you do asanas, pranayama, and meditation daily, it shows in how you carry yourself, how you interact with other people, it helps you become centered and clear in body and mind. Whether you practice for 10 minutes or two hours, the personal time you take for yoga is essential for learning how to move at your own pace, listen and respond to your body, and cultivating tapas or discipline. Since all of that freedom can be overwhelming at first we will break down the basic building blocks that will allow you to start putting together a home practice that will meet your needs on any given day.

This all levels workshop will be taught in a vinyasa style focused on tapping into a basic understanding of the different postural categories of poses and the energetic effects they have on your body. You’ll leave with a short and sweet practice to do everyday, an energizing opening practice and a calming closing practice, which can be practiced independently or together for a complete well-rounded sequence. Please bring a paper and pen to jot down your own unique sequences.

Twist + Bind to Unwind

This workshop will focus on opening the hips, shoulders, chest and upper back through ever evolving twists and binds. As you physically wrap and rotate your body within the asanas you’ll experience what comes up and how to let go within the containment of the bind, how to soften into the depth of the twist, ultimately moving into a sense of stillness and quiet. 

Taught in a vinyasa style, this all levels workshop will be focused on increasing flexibility in your spine and shoulders, releasing tension in the muscles of the abdomen and hips while stimulating circulation and offering a deep and revitalizing massage to the internal organs.
